This policy explains how LocalFixList ("we," "us"), operated by Underdog Ventures, LLC, handles information when you visit localfixlist.com, buy a checkup, or receive an email from us. Questions: hello@localfixlist.com.
Information we collect
- When you buy: your name, email address, business name, website address, Google Maps/Business Profile link, and (for Checkup Plus) your main service and city. You enter these at checkout.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy).
- Emails you send us: the contents of any messages, questions, or refund requests.
- Public business information: to prepare a checkup, we review publicly available information about your business: your website, public Google Maps listing, and public directory listings.
- Website visits: this site uses no analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and operations.
How we use information
- To prepare and deliver your checkup and answer your questions.
- To process payments, refunds, and keep business and tax records.
- To send service emails about your order (for example, delivery and a follow-up).
- To send occasional promotional emails to businesses, using business contact information that is publicly listed. Every promotional email includes a way to opt out, and we honor opt-outs promptly.
We may use short excerpts of findings in our marketing only after removing anything that identifies your business (name, location, phone, people's names). Email us if you'd prefer we never do this with your checkup.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business: our payment processor (Stripe), our email provider, and our website host. We also share it where the law requires, or to protect our rights.
Retention
We keep order records and delivered reports for as long as needed for business, tax, and legal purposes (generally up to 3 years), then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, unless we have to keep it by law.
Your choices and rights
- Opt out of promotional emails at any time by replying "no thanks" or "unsubscribe."
- Ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@localfixlist.com. Depending on your state, you may have additional rights. We'll honor valid requests as the law requires.
Security
We use reputable providers and limit access to your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date above.
